Canadian man arrested in Florida after driving on the tarmac of the airport

ORLANDO, Florida. – A Canadian man is being held on a $5,100 bond in Florida after driving a luggage towing vehicle across the tarmac at the International Airport of Orlando.

The Orlando Sentinel reports (http://bit.ly/2hk4ZNC ) that the police identified the man as 27-year-old Richard High. According to a statement, High flew Friday to Chicago and then to Canada.

The police said United Airlines employees removed from his flight after he sat in a first class seat that wasn’t his and claimed that he was a pilot.

The authorities said High removed his pants, then climbed up on a baggage tug, and said to the driver: “he had a flight to catch.” The driver left, and High allegedly drove the tug on a taxiway.

High faces grand theft and trespassing charges. Orange County jail records to see if he has a lawyer.
