Canada asks China to release of arrested Canadians

Canada has the immediate release of two Canadians asked, which in China have been arrested. Minister of Foreign Affairs Chrystia Freeland has the “arbitrary arrests” Friday night strongly condemned.

The stops by observers viewed as retaliation for the arrest of Huawei-topvrouw Meng Wanzhou in Vancouver.

“Canada is a country with rules of law ruled,” says Freeland. According to the minister, the case against the Chinese Wanzhou “fair, unbiased and transparent”. She states that the rule of law “fundamental” is for all free societies and that Canada is this will keep.

Two Canadians are sitting in China associated with concerns about “national security”. They are earlier this month picked up, after Wanzhou, at the request of the American authorities in Canada has been arrested.

The Americans have her extradition is asked, because they would be involved in violating U.s. sanctions against Iran.
