Camper trailer dangles precariously over the highway overpass

A camper ended up dangling off an interstate overpass in Florida on Thursday after a crash involving three vehicles, officials said.

The St.-Petersburg Fire Rescue posted on Twitter there were no injuries in the crash on Interstate 275, but the camper was hanging “precariously over the railing.”

A 3-car accident led to a motorhome depends on a Florida overpass.

Video from the highway cameras that belong to the Florida Department of Transportation, and photos uploaded by rescue officials show the trailer back wheels hanging from the overpass.

Officials have an obstruction in the northern lanes of the I-275 through the area, according to FOX13.

Rescue workers worked to save it in a motorhome, that hung off of a Florida bridge.

The Florida Highway Patrol told FOX 13 the crash happened around 11 a.m.


The crash happened near exit 22 in St. Petersburg, close to Tropicana Field, where the Tampa Bay Rays play.

Video from FOX 13 SkyFOX shows that fire officials linked to a bright yellow pulley to the hitch of the camper, holding it in place.

The authorities plan to try to pull the trailer back onto the highway.

The crash and the resulting lane closures have snarled traffic in the area.
