“Charlie’ s Angels actress Cameron Diaz has confirmed that the rumors that she is retired from acting.
On Thursday, Diaz reunited with her former cast members, Selma Blair and Christina Applegate, the 2002 romantic comedy “The Sweetest Thing” for an Entertainment Weekly reunion interview.
During the chat with the outlet, the former castmates realized that she hadn’t hang out together, because the decision-making about the 00’s film.

“Why not?” Diaz asked Blair and Applegate when pressed about the reason why they had not come together since shooting their film. Then, after the suggestion that the three together more often, Diaz said, “I mean, I’m down. I am literally nothing to do.”
“I’m literally nothing to do, too!” Applegate agreed. “I am semi-retired, I have not worked for a year. I am a mother, that is what we do. So I’m around, man.”

Diaz agreed with Applegate and added, “That is so awesome. I’m all the way down. I am semi-retired, also, and I’m actually retired, so I would like to see you ladies.”
Rumours that Diaz had retired from her filmmaking days began earlier in the month, when Blair said in an interview with Metro News UK that the 45-year-old actress had chosen to retire. The “Cruel Intentions” actress recalled a conversation about retirement with Diaz on the outlet, and said: “I had lunch with Cameron the other day. We were reminiscing about the [“best”]. I would love a sequel but Cameron with pension act. She is like ” I’m done.'”
Diaz gets her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2009.
Blair’s revelation led to a social media frenzy with fans wondering whether or not Diaz had really retired to act.
Not knowing that her “joke” would be such a hot topic, immediately after the interview, Blair took to Twitter to clear the air about her comments and said: “BREAKING NEWS. Guys please, I was making a joke in an interview. CAMERON DIAZ is NOT retiring from ANYTHING.”

She added, jokingly: “And for more breaking news: I am NOW retiring from Cameron Diaz, a spokesman said.”
Diaz broke out on the scene at age 22 in 1994 comedy “The Mask” starring Jim Carrey. Some of her most notable films like “Charlie’s Angles,” “The Holiday” and “Shrek.” Diaz is not the starring role in a film since 2014, where she played Miss Hannigan in the “Annie” remake, and played alongside Kate Upton and Leslie Mann in “The Other Woman.”
Diaz is married to Good Charlotte band member Benji Madden since 2015.
