(Ap) – The latest version of the video game franchise “Call of Duty” racked up 100 million downloads in its first week, industry, site, Sensor Tower, said on Monday, dwarfed the debut album of previous hits, including “Fortnite” and “PlayerUnknown’s Battle” (PUBG).
“This is by far the biggest mobile game launch in history in terms of the player base that has been built in the first week,” said Randy Nelson, the Head of the Mobile knowledge of the Sensor Tower.
The first-person shooter to hit for publisher Activision Blizzard Inc. launched a new Call of Duty Mobile at the Oct. 1. Sensor Tower, said the figures reflected a world-wide unique downloads from Apple’s App Store and Google Play, in the period since.
PUBG, Fortnite, and Electronic Arts’ Top (Legends), respectively, also scored 26.3 million, 22.5 million and € 25 million in its first week of release.
