A Californian woman was in custody Wednesday, one day after police say she left two babies behind with a local business to appear in order to give birth to them on the sidewalk — later resulted in the death of one of the babies.
Fairfield Police were called to a business in the 300 block of Pittman Rd. at around 4:11 a.m., Tuesday, on reports that a woman and her two young children behind in the place and that she “appeared to have been recently born, [they] are on the sidewalk behind the company.”
Once on scene, officers located the baby, but couldn’t find the mother.

The first responding officer began lifesaving efforts is one of the new-born infant, until the fire department arrived on the scene. This child was taken to a local hospital, where, it is said to be in stable condition.
There are Police believe that a woman has given birth to two young children and a business in the 300 block of Pittman Rd.
The second child reported to have died before the police arrived.
During the emergency, the police are notified that there will be a woman associated with the incident and was still in the area. She has been associated with a location in a Central Location.
“Based on the officers observations, it appears the woman had recently given birth,” police said in a statement on Tuesday.

She has been identified as the mother of the baby, and was taken into custody. The police said she was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The identity of the woman was not immediately known, and police are not saying if they are going to make a complaint.
