A California grandmother is thanks to thousands of troops abroad by sending letters that she had written, for more than 10 years.
Only Cooper, 98, said she has written more than 7,000 letters to men and women who serve in the army, KTRK reported on Sunday.
“All of the time I think of these people and their families,” Cooper told the station.

She said that she began writing the letters to her son who was in the army in Vietnam. They kept on sending notes to other soldiers since then, adding that they don’t plan to stop soon.
Over the years people responded to Cooper’s letters by sending their comments and flags of their bases, KTRK reported.
