A California mom was on Monday arrested after one of her sons accidentally shot and killed his 12-year-old twins-a brother in the family’s home, according to police.

Gabriela Keeton, 45, faces a charge of child cruelty in connection with the death of her son, according to the report.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at a San Bernardino house at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Fox 11 reported. The officers found a 12-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds, according to the report. The boy was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said. The brothers ‘ names have not been released.

The researchers found that the two brothers were playing with an unloaded gun in their parent’s bedroom, with the ammo in the area, a police spokesman, told CBS 2. One of the brothers loads a gun and pretended to shoot the other one when it accidentally discharged, police said. The image is considered to be in an accident.

The police later contacted Keeton, and took her into custody on child endangerment charges, according to a press release, as quoted by KTLA. She was being held on a $100,000 bond and will make her first court appearance on Thursday.
