A man in California was arrested for the death of his wife earlier this month and reportedly told sheriff’s detectives he beat her with a concrete block as they claim it was to protect her from a group of brutal, high-powered” people who have been infected it with water.
Nathaniel Robertson, 46, has pleaded not guilty to a charge of first-degree murder in the killing of a 57-year-old woman, Lidia. Robertson was arrested on July 12 after his wife is found dead with blunt force trauma injuries, and blood was found splattered at the entrance of the home.

“I didn’t mean it in a hurtful thing,” Robertson told investigators. “I didn’t want to hit her a couple of times, and I wanted to be, and I didn’t want her to suffer.”
