California man accused of ‘deliberately’ burning partner: police

The authorities in California said Monday that they have arrested a man who they claim that they deliberately burned his partner, leaving her “severely injured.”

Richard R. Frederiksen, 48, was taken into custody after the meeting on Saturday drew police to a house in Roseville, the city police said on Facebook Monday.

Police were called to the scene around 10:55 a.m., where they discovered the injured woman, the officials said.

“The initial investigation revealed that the victim, his / her partner had deliberately burned the victim,” the officials said. The woman sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital. “She remains in critical condition.”

Frederiksen had reportedly abandoned the area, but he was “in the end” is found and arrested, police said. He was located on Sunday, Fox 40 reported.

The suspect was booked into the South Placer Jail “without the possibility of release on bail” on multiple charges, including attempted murder and inflicting bodily injury, police said.
