Rack it up as a way Google tracks your personal information.
Every purchase you make using your Gmail account to be registered by Google, according to a discovery recently made recently by a Reddit user. The user discovered that Google keep tabs on every purchase which makes use of your Gmail account. Google also tracks purchases made via Pay Google or via the Google Play store.
For its part, Google says that the information about the purchase of life in to your Google Account and is only accessible by you. “To help you easily view and keep track of your purchases, bookings and subscriptions in one place, we have our own destination, which can only be seen by you. You can delete this information at any time, ” a Google spokesman told Fox News in a statement.

“We make no use of information from your Gmail messages to serve ads, and that also applies to the e-mail receipts and confirmations are displayed on the Purchase page,” the spokesperson added.
But it is not clear what Google may use the information for, as noted by BleepingComputer, a publication which covers the security of information and technology.
And it is not clear how to prevent Google from extracting this data from your Gmail account.
“I have no problems with this kind of functions. Give us the control to turn them off,” Lawrence Abrams, the creator and owner of BleepingComputer, told Fox News. Abrams added that he saw it as a violation of privacy.
As Facebook, Google’s business model is based on getting to know a lot about you. The collection of data is done for the advertising and for the improvement of the services of Google. And although not intentionally nefarious, much of this is done in the background unbeknownst to the average user.

Apparently, there must be a way to control to purchase tracking via a setting such as “Privacy & personalization” or “Data and personal settings” – both are accessible via your Google account home page – but that seems not to be the case. This issue is addressed in other reports, which found no way to disable it completely follow.
It is easy to check what Google has tracked, so far by going to your Google “Purchases” page. A check of my page revealed, everything I had bought to go back to 2013, including loads on a Starbucks card, iTunes purchases and flight reservations.
If you do not want to store this data, you can delete it purchases at one time. When you do this, you will be redirected to your Gmail and delete the purchase. There is no single setting that this en masse for all of your purchases.
Google is looking to simplify the settings further to make it easier for people to control the company added.
