The 2020 presidential candidates have spoken of reform of the drug policy, when you visit a marijuana dispensary in Las Vegas.

LAS VEGAS – Many of the Democrats seeking to topple President Trump in the year 2020, demand Ind the decriminalization of possession of marijuana at the Federal level-including South Bend,., Mayor Pete Buttigieg, told reporters on Wednesday that he had tried the drug “a handful” of times in the past.

“I have a couple of times, a long time ago, and I also have a lot of people whose lives said really shaken by the old “war on drugs” approach,” Buttigieg Fox News in Las Vegas met.

He added, “We don’t need to legalize, but we also need to keep track of experiments, knowledge of the racial inequality and life that have been ruined by sentences on marijuana possession.”

Other 2020 Democrats seemed to be on the same page.

The former Texas Rep. Beto O’rourke toured Oakland, Calif., Outpatient clinic in the last month, and called for the allocation of the monthly grants to people who were previously locked up for low-level marijuana offenses as a form of compensation.

In the meantime, other candidates have admitted using the drug. California, Sr., Kamala Harris, said in a radio interview at the beginning of this year, “I did, and I inhaled-I was inhaling. It was a long time ago, but Yes.”


Sen Bernie Sanders, the when running in the primaries in 2016, also confirmed he tried it a couple of times.


“I have marijuana, not smoked twice and worked with me,” he said to Yahoo! News.

Candidates for legalization of marijuana by the state have split. Buttigieg said it would have to be done through the proper legislative channels, while Sanders, an executive order has expressed that he would use to execute it.

Buttigieg agreed that the stigma should decrease in connection with marijuana use.


He also made a pitch specifically for veterans. “Yes, so I have a lot of veterans who rely on cannabis for the treatment of diagnosed or undiagnosed problems, the often service-with issues such as post-traumatic stress. And, another advantage of decriminalization is that it could pave the way for this to be supported with the” Department of Veterans Affairs.

Asked by another reporter if he had bought, all the items in the pharmacy, which he compared to a Apple Store in appearance, he said: “I don’t want to. I’m on the clock and it will be a long day.”
