Pete Buttigieg is the fear that artificial intelligence may fuel racial prejudice in America has been challenging the credit scoring system.

“I am very much concerned about the life in a day and age where more and more of this will be done by algorithms and ‘big data’, that is, we are going to automate the creation of inequality by not being aware of how some of these algorithms will pick up on the structures, systems, and attitudes, and the assumptions that were racist in nature,” said Buttigieg, who has been the mayor of South Bend, Ind., according to the international monetary Fund.
