Brussels wants to Moldova financial support of 100 million euros
The European Commission wants to Moldova 100 million euros in financial assistance. The Moldovan government has Brussels itself asked for help, according to a communication from the commission.
The support would be for 60 million euro of favorable medium-term loans and 40 million as a contribution from the EU budget. The member states and the European Parliament need a proposal first to approve.
According to EU commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis (euro and financial stability) helps the support, and a special crisisprogramma for the neighbouring countries, to the economy in poverty-stricken Eastern European country to stabilize.
The intended financing, in three parts, in 2017 and 2018, linked to a new IMF programme, which is aimed at reforms that the banking sector should strengthen.
