Brussels Airlines adds from the next summer season – that will start in march – the Armenian capital city of Yerevan to its network. It is the first direct connection between Belgium and Armenia, reported the airline.
The connection will be one time per week to be cared for: outbound flight was on a Friday night and return to Brussels Saturday morning. In July and August, there are two connections per week (with an additional flight on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning).
“With the new direct flight is Brussels Airlines meets the important demand of the Armenian diaspora in our country and in the neighbouring countries”, says in a press release. “The new route is good news for a number of Belgian tour operators and travel agents tourism travel to Armenia.”
The flights will be carried out with an Airbus A320 and will last for 4.5 to 5 hours. From december this year and march runs, Brussels Airlines, in cooperation with the Belgian-Armenian travel company Armwings, several charter flights between Brussels and Yerevan.
The republic of Armenia is located in the Southern Caucasus. There live about 3 million people, of whom about one third in the capital. It borders Georgia, Azerbaijan, Iran and Turkey. (Belga)
