Brother of the deposed prime minister of Pakistan is a possible successor
The ruling party in Pakistan is planning to be the brother of the ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif to nominate as his successor at the general election in 2018. In the meantime, should an interim premier to be appointed.
Shahbaz Sharif (65 on the right in the photo) is currently the first minister of the province Punjab, where more than half of Pakistan’s 190 million people live. He must first for the national assembly to be chosen before his brother can follow, and leader of the country can be.
Brother dropped off
Nawaz Sharif was on Friday by the Supreme court from office, after allegations of corruption and witwasserij. That resignation plunges the country into political turmoil, after several years of relative calm.
The 67-year-old Nawaz Sharif has denied anything wrong to have done so and warned that his dismissal of the country will destabilize. He calls the case a conspiracy against him.
