Shields, 54, appeared on “Watch What Happens” on Thursday night, when a viewer called in to question if it was true, she is a co-host on the ABC morning show in 2013, after Elisabeth Hasselbeck left.
“Very well,” Shields said to the caller before the host Andy Cohen pressed her for more information.

“I went through a week of being on the show, and you know what, I did all my homework, I have to take everything seriously,” she shared.

Shields said that she was a woman in the parking lot of the Hollywood Bowl, and when she got a phone call from one of the producers, who told her that she wanted to go out with Jenny McCarthy.
“I was like,” OK, she’s a friend, but you have to be one or the other,” a sense Shields was reminded of the way of thinking. “I think they were going for something a little different.”

McCarthy has not been with the show for a very long time, leaving the program in 2014. She has recently opened up about her time on “The View” in an explosive tell-all book, “Ladies Who Punch: The Explosive Story of The Building.
