During her toast at the reception, Jamie turned out she was two months pregnant with the couple’s first child — much to the surprise of the wedding guests and even the groom himself.
“It was the shock of a lifetime, but a good shock,” Charlie told WCNC of the sweet moment.
Jamie took about a month before the wedding, but saved the surprise for the reception in South Carolina.

The couple, from near Charlotte, N. C., was already eager to begin their family, and had been trying since before the wedding, because she thought that it may take longer to become pregnant because they are in their 30s, according to the outlet.
“The morning I took the test, of course I wanted to start screaming and wake him up,” Jamie said of the first to learn the good news.
Eventually, however, Jamie decided to save the sweet moment for their wedding reception in South Carolina.

“Accept this gift,” Jamie can be seen tells Charlie in the wedding video, which was obtained by Yahoo! Lifestyle, handing him a wrapped gift. “It is the most valuable thing I will give you, and I hope it makes you as happy as you made me.”
The Opening of the present, Charlie is overcome by emotion when he picks up a framed picture of an ultrasound.
“I’m two months pregnant,” she confirms, as the guests begin to applaud.
“It was the shock of a lifetime, but a good shock,” Charlie said.

The couple told WCNC they met in March of this year Match.com, became engaged in September, and decided to tie the knot in December because “pretty soon [they] knew” they were for each other.
Their baby is a girl, due in July, will be with the name Jillian after the bride’s late sister.
