Brazil doesn’t allow it temporarily burned for landontginning

The Brazilian president, Jair Bolsonaro, has on Thursday by decree for a temporary ban on the burning of forests to make land suitable for agriculture and animal husbandry. The measure has been referred to the forest fires in the Amazon basin to combat it.

Brazilian media are reporting that it is unclear as to whether the temporary prohibition on use. According to the experts, most of the landontginningen anyway, it is illegal, and there was lax against the problem.

Bolsonaro has sent last week a decree on the army and to the Amazon basin. The soldiers will help till the 24 of september, in the control and prevention of fires. This decision came after international criticism of its policy on the protection of forests.

The number of fires in the Amazon basin is currently 83 percent, compared with the same period of the previous year, the Brazilian ruimteonderzoekscentrum INPE the other day. It’s going to be the world’s largest number of forest fires in 2010. According to Brazilian experts, the high point has not yet been achieved.
