Bosphorus is blocked by the largest ship in the world
The Bosphorus is closed on Wednesday for the safe passage of a huge vessel, the Pioneering Spirit, to make it possible. The ship is the largest in the world, and intended for, inter alia, the construction of pipelines on the seabed.
The left may 13, Maasvlakte, near Rotterdam, on the way to the Russian city of Anapa on the Black Sea.
Also the ferries across the Bosphorus were shut down, reported the Turkish media. The vessel of more than 380 metres long and 124 metres wide the Swiss-Dutch bouwgigant Allseas.
It will be used for the construction of a 900-kilometer-long pipeline through the Black sea from the Russian coast to the European part of Turkey.
