Book week opens 82nd edition with ‘tempting’ Boekenbal
With the Boekenbal of the Temptations on Friday evening in Paradiso, amsterdam, the 82nd national book week opened.
The Amsterdam pop temple was converted for the occasion into a ‘garden of delights’, where hundreds of writers and other guests from the book trade, the opening of the book week were able to celebrate.
A slangenvrouw, a bdsm mistress, scantily clad men and a minicollege ‘how to enjoy forbidden fruits’ of comedian Thomas van Luyn locks fully to the theme of Forbidden Fruit of the book week, from Saturday to Sunday, april 2, and lasts.
‘King’ and ‘queen’ of the Boekenbal were the author of the Boekenweekgeschenk Herman Koch, and the writer of the Boekenweekessay Connie Palmen. Among the many well-known authors in Paradiso were Kluun, Under the low Countries, Saskia Noort and Peter Buwalda.
