Boogers leaves after sixteen years as technical director at FC Dordrecht
FC Dordrecht have after sixteen years of looking for a new technical director. Marco Boogers has decided to review its position, so made the Jupiler League club Tuesday known.
Boogers was, since 2001, working at FC Dordrecht. The 50-year-old former striker is hoping for another club to get started.
“Of course I’m now on holiday, but then I am open for a new challenge”, says the Boogers on the website of FC Dordrecht. “I’m happy with the businesskaarten for life, which I as a token of appreciation I received from FC Dordrecht. Because it remains my club.”
Boogers reached its peak in the GN Bouw Stadium with the promotion to the Premier league in 2014.
“That was achieved with an extremely modest (and actually impossible) budget”, FC Dordrecht praising words for the born in Dordrecht.
“Through his network, commitment, creativity, eye for talent and negotiation skills he has a chance to be a chronic lack of money to compensate.”
Last season, escaped with FC Dordrecht in the last weeks of the league to relegation to the Second Division.

FC Dordrecht begins the new season at the second level in the Netherlands Friday with an away game against Fortuna Sittard.
