Bond reduced for man who drove from Orlando airport tarmac

ORLANDO, Florida. – A Florida judge has reduced bond for a Canadian man who drove a baggage tractor on the tarmac at the International Airport of Orlando.

The Orlando Sentinel reports (http://bit.ly/2hUpKhJ ) Orange County judge reduced the 27-year-old Richard High bond of $5,100 to $2,600 on Saturday.

United Airlines employees removed High of his Chicago-bound flight Friday. Police say he removed his pants while making his way to the tarmac, where he climbed up on a baggage tug, and said to the driver: “he had a flight to catch.” When the driver left, the police says High drove the tug on a taxiway.

High faces grand theft and trespassing charges.

The newspaper reported that the judge said: High actions appeared “more like a joyride on a very expensive piece of equipment” than an attempt to steal the car.
