Bolt and Biles sportsman and sportswoman of the year at the Laureus gala

Usain Bolt and Simone Biles are Tuesday voted sportsman and sportswoman of the year at the Laureus gala in Monaco.

The Jamaican sprinter Bolt was given the prestigious award for the fourth time, after 2009, 2010 and 2013. He explained last summer, batter in three olympic titles at the Summer games in Rio de Janeiro; in the 100 metres, 200 metres and 4×100 metres.

Bolt (30) found in the election competition from footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, tennis player Andy Murray, athlete Mo Farah and basketball players LeBron James and Stephen Curry.

Gymnast Biles won four times gold in Rio. The 19-year-old American was in Monaco, the preferred swimmer Katie Ledecky, tennis player Angelique Kerber, cyclist Laura Kenny and athletes, Elaine Thompson and Allyson Felix.

Biles dropped into Brazil to olympic champion crowns in four parts (team combined events, individual pentathlon and decathlon, floor, and jump), but had to go to the bar to settle for the bronze behind the Dutch winner Sanne Wevers.

The honkballers Chicago Cubs were voted team of the year. The MLB team won at the expense of the Cleveland Indians for the first time since the 1908 World Series.
