Boekelman ends as the eleventh in world cup finals shot put
Melissa Boekelman Wednesday at the world CHAMPIONSHIP of athletics is not a publicity stunt can provide in the final of the shot put. The multiple Dutch champion, finished eleventh in London.
Boekelman came at her first attempt 17.61 metres and did it at her second knock, a little better (17,73 m). Her third and final attempt was, however, invalid.
The 28-year-old South Holland, which is Tuesday, yet surprisingly for the final showdown set with a knock of 17,88 m, if, eventually, eleventh of the world.
Her goal for the finals was a place in the first eight, but they came not near her personal record (18,66).

In 2006, Boekelman still world champion under-20, but her real breakthrough remained long. Last year she was in Rio de Janeiro finally has her olympic debut, and this was her first appearance at a world cup.
The gold in London went to the Chinese Lijiao Gong with a jolt of 19,94. The Hungarian Anita Martin won the silver and American Michelle Carter took the bronze.
