Boeing promises Trump cheaper Air Force One
The boss of the American airline company Boeing has Wednesday future president Donald Trump promised that the cost for the new presidential plane is not higher than 4 billion dollars will amount to.
Trump had a conversation with Dennis Muilenberg of Boeing and Marillyn Hewson of Lockheed Martin Corp. He suggested the cost of the new 747 Air Force One and the F-35 fighter aircraft to the order.
Trump said earlier this month that the ordering of a new dienstvliegtuig should be deleted. “Boeing builds a brand new 747 Air Force One, but the costs are completely out of hand, more than 4 billion dollars! Delete this order”, showed Trump at the beginning of december his displeasure.
“We’re going to get for less than that (4 billion) and we are committed to the appointment that”, promised Muilenberg Trump. Hewson spoke about a productive conversation, but gave no comment on Trumps statements.
The current device is to be next year thirty years in use, and then according to the schedule to be replaced. The plan is that the new Air Force One and an identical reservetoestel – 2024 be put into use.
