Bitcoin climbs above $3,400, under the leadership of the largest daily rise in almost three weeks

LONDON (Reuters) – a Bitcoin sharply on Monday, climbing above $3,400 in a move traders attributed to heavy buying in Japan and Hong Kong-based exchanges.

The original cryptocurrency jumped as much as 11 percent on the Bitstamp platform and was on the road for the biggest daily increase since Nov. 28.

Bitcoin has fallen to around 80 percent of the record high of last December. In the last three months, a decline of almost 50 percent.
