Birthday Mugabe takes Zimbabwe to 1.9 million euro
Despite the economic crisis and the poverty in Zimbabwe, president Robert Mugabe Saturday his 93rd birthday celebrated in a big way. Ruling party Zimbabwean government PF attracted an estimated 1.9 million euro for the feast where thousands of guests were present.
Political activist Promise Mkwananz and declared opponent of president Mugabe, called the high cost of the party is “silly and frivolous”.
Robert Mugabe is president of Zimbabwe since 1980 and rules his country with a firm hand. He is again a candidate for the presidential elections of 2018.
Mugabe was last year faced with demonstrations and an unprecedented amount of criticism, also from my own circle, due to the collapsed economy, corruption and shortage of cash.
