Joe Biden speaks at the South Carolina Democratic Convention.
The former Vice-President Joe Biden, while he accused the President of trombone “vilifying immigrants” to “scare” voters, urged the Congress to the so-called dreamers, citizens in his newly released campaign proposal to roll back the Trump administration’s measures to combat illegal immigration.
The Democratic presidential primary front-runner’s proposals, released Monday morning, in English and Spanish in the Miami Herald and the Spanish publication” El Nuevo Herald, how much of a “blueprint” for what he would do in the White house, as it were, on a sharp critique of Trump’s record on the disagreement Problem.
TRUMP DELAYS OF THE PLANNED ICE RAIDS, TO SEE IF CONGRESS CAN SOLVE THE CRISIS BORDER
Note to the Republican President’s threat last week by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) deportation raids across the country, Biden argues that it “clearly is the trump card only interested, with its policy, the attack on the dignity of the Latin community and scare the voters on election day, while not addressing the real challenges of our hemisphere.”
Biden also pointed to the detention of immigrant children in the nation’s southern border, has been implemented in the last year, as part of the administration, the policy of zero tolerance. Accuse trombone “racist abuse”, the former Vice-President said: “under the trump, there were terrible scenes on the border of the children kept in cages, tear-gassing asylum seekers, tearing the children from their mothers’ arms, — actions against American values and undermine our ability on the global stage.”
Trump has repeatedly claimed that he “inherited” the policy of his predecessor, Ex-President Barack Obama.
Biden, who served for eight years as Vice President under Obama, claimed that “the next President of the Institute effective immigration reform, while regional policy is based on respect.”
“Our asylum system needs to be improved, but the answer is to streamline and strengthen so that it benefits the legitimate claims of those fleeing persecution, whilst reducing potential for abuse,” he said.
Biden also called for the granting of U.S. citizenship to thousands of young undocumented immigrants in the country illegally by their parents, saying they are “Americans, and the Congress officially.”
These so-called dreamers – thousands of young undocumented immigrants brought into the country illegally by their parents – were the protection of the law granted by the Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. Trump tried to end the status.
“The millions of undocumented people in the United States can only be brought out of the shadows by the fair treatment, non-ugly threats,” Biden said. “Trump the efforts to repeal the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) in the board have injected unnecessary uncertainty into the lives of thousands of families.”
Still, Biden said, “it is essential that we secure our borders.” But he argues that Trump is the campaign promise to “build the wall” along the U.S. border with Mexico, “a slogan that detached from reality.”
Biden said, if elected, he will “focus would be instead on the improvement of the screening procedures at our legal ports of entry and smart investments in the edge technology. These are sensible measures that could do more for our security than a wall ever.”
Biden also criticized Trump’s diplomatic efforts in Venezuela, with the argument that trump “has been poorly assessed, what it takes, the democracy is back to Venezuela, and of its increasing war mongering, the international coalition of more than 50 countries, the Juan Guaido as interim President of Venezuela.”
But he has not mentioned that Trump was the first world leaders to recognize Guaido as the legitimate leader of Venezuela, and helped build a coalition of countries against the regime of Nicolas Maduro.
Trump has the Obama administration accused sufficiently tough sanctions against Maduro regime.
The release of Biden’s proposal comes three days after appearing for a National Association of Latino Elected officials, conference was attended by eight of his rivals for the democratic nomination. Biden leaders for skipping the conference was criticized by Latino. The event took place in Miami, which is also the site of this week the first round of the Democratic primary debates.
