Biden adviser to float Beto O’rourke as possible 2020 running mate: report

in the proximity ofvideo could we see Biden to Beto 2020 primaries?

The former Vice-President, Joe Biden, the advisers, with a view to the 2020 presidential campaign, have reportedly floated Rep. Beto O’rourke, D-Texas, as a possible running mate — apparently to assuage concerns about Biden’s age.

Biden, who mentioned President Barack Obama’s Vice-President for both terms have long been considered a potential 2020 candidate, after he had run as a presidential candidate in 2016.

The Associated Press reported that the past and current adviser of Biden, 76, have some “concerns about age” and raised the possibility of O’rourke, 47, is considered a possible running mate.

Last month, O’rourke (whose birth name is Robert Francis) is lost to the overthrow of his bid, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, but, nevertheless, became a national Democratic figure, which managed more than $80 million in donations — and was the subject of several media profiles, focused on his skateboarding and punk rock background.

O’rourke has increased to the top of the initial 2020 polls as a possible presidential candidate, leapfrogging prospective (but as yet unannounced) candidates, including Sens. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., Cory Booker, D-N. J., and Kamala Harris, D-Calif.

But on Friday, O’rourke, wanted to not on a possible run: “No decision, no decision,” he said at a town hall meeting in Austin, Texas.

So he offered the audience his thoughts on what the Democrats ” need a candidate in the year 2020.

“This is the mother of all tests for this democracy and whether we have a campaign, candidates at all levels, from school Board to the White house, the ready to focus on the problems, our potential, our promise to the future, rather than our fears, instead of attacking each other personally, instead of the basic impulses and instincts among us,” he said.

Should Biden presidential record, he is the oldest person to win the White house. President Ronald Reagan was 73 when he won re-election, while President Trump was 70 in the year 2016.

Age could therefore prove to be a weak spot for Biden, and is the reason why he is considering according to reports, O’rourke as his running mate. It may also be why he stresses his experience and decades as a civil servant as sales arguments.

“I think I am the most qualified person in the country, President. The problems we face as a country today are the problems that I have worked my whole life,” Biden, who was a senator for 36 years, told a crowd in Montana this month, according to The Missoula-to-date.

According to AP, Biden wants to spend the next few weeks, consults with family about his next steps and expects a decision in January or February.

Trump has welcomed the idea of a Biden run, havig frequently feuded with the former Vice-President and said to be running against Biden would be a “dream” in an interview with CBS News earlier this year.

“Look, Joe Biden, ran for three times. He never got more than 1 percent, and President Obama took it out of the trash heap, and everyone was shocked that he did it,” Trump said at the time. “I would like to have, it’s Biden.”
