Beyoncé was in 2016 the highest-earning musician in the world. This is evident from the annual calculation of the Billboard.

The 35-year-old singer earned in 2016 less than 62.1 million dollars (54.4 million euros), the lion’s share thanks to its Formation World Tour. Rock band Guns N’ Roses is on the second place, with over 40 million dollars (35 million euros) in revenue.

Beyoncé is this year for the first time at number 1 in the list thanks to her successful world tour. Its Formation World Tour brought to 54.7 million dollars (48 million euros) in the series. With the sale and the stream of her album Lemonade earned the singer a further 6.2 million dollars (5.4 million euros).

The good income for rock band Guns N’ Roses are also due to their tour. Lead singer Axl Rose doubted openly to the continuation of the tour, but the band could 40.4 million dollars ($35.4 million) in their bank account, a credit as a result of the performances.
