Bernie Sanders’ recruitment of non-American campaign Advisor says against the Federal election laws, a complaint

Bernie Sanders has made a complaint this week, calling for his presidential campaign violated Federal election laws by the use of non-Americans in advisery positions.

A new complaint, the of the Coolidge Reagan Foundation filed with the Federal Election Commission (FEC), that three members of the Sanders campaign are foreign nationals, appears to be a violation of Federal election laws that prohibit foreign interference.

Maria Belen Sisa, Sanders’ Deputy national press Secretary, the campaign in the last month, was among the staff called in the complaint, as first reported by the Washington free Beacon. Sisa claimed, an illegal immigrant, whose permit to stay is protected came under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), an Obama-era program for the support of illegal immigrants in the United States, as the children.

Sisa recently caused a riot, after calling an anti-Semitic “dual loyalty” trope of Jewish-Americans during the defense of Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., and the question of whether American Jews, including Sanders, were loyal to the United States.

The complaint notes that Sisa not only got a salary of Sanders’ 2016 presidential campaign, which also contributed money, and it now serves in “an Advisory capacity” in the 2020-campaign – all of which are “direct and serious violations” of Federal election laws.

According to the FEC rules, the foreign nationals that do not allow lawful permanent residents, to participate directly or indirectly in political campaigns. Such persons are also excluded from political contributions.

The lawsuit also names the two other foreigners on the Sanders’ 2016 campaign, the immigration activists Erika Andiola and Cesar Vargas, who worked as the campaign of the national Latino outreach strategist and press Secretary for Latino range, respectively.

“Due to the high profile of Cesar Vargas, Erika Andiola and Maria Belen Sisa, as the leading activists in the undocumented community, there is reason to believe that the respondents are ‘foreign nationals’ within the meaning of 52 U. S. C. § 301219b)(2), and in violation of 11 C. F. R. § 110.20 (i) and A. O. 2004-26, which are directly or indirectly involved in the decision-making process of individuals in relation to the election activities of Bernie in 2016,” the complaint continues.

“There is reason to believe that the Sisa worked that Bernie is 2020 currently, and knowingly, what to attend a ‘foreigner’ … directly or indirectly, in the decision-making process of individuals in relation to the election activities of the Bernie 2020.”

The complaint asks the FEC to investigate both the 2016 and the current presidential campaigns, and measures to curb the violations.

“The Commission should read the determination and imposition of the appropriate sanctions for all violations,” the complaint. “In addition, the Commission should the omission of the respondents from future violations, and imposition of necessary and appropriate means to the respondents ‘future compliance with the Federal Election Campaign Act”.
