Bénédicte Ficq and has no regrets remark about Hirsi Ali in DWDD

The well-known lawyer Bénédicte Ficq (59), that, among others, Badr Hari and Dino S. defended, and has no regrets of the decisions that they did about Ayaan Hirsi Ali in an episode of ‘ De wereld Draait door (DWDD).

“I was at DWDD (march 2016, red.) and spoke to me there to be negative about how Ayaan Hirsi Ali was at the time the debate polarized. In my opinion, and not that extreme in my opinion. Then put a media frenzy, with emotional reactions. The buzzing off the road,” says Ficq in conversation with Margriet.

“I’m not, but think: why am I in this program? That is not out of vanity. I am not a vain person.”

“I feel always a huge irritation as I tried to Ayaan Hirsi Ali think (…)”, said the lawyer in the conscious broadcast of DWDD.

“She has a number of topics on the agenda that is particularly of interest. She also has political islam on the agenda. But in the sequel, in thinking for solutions and connecting people, which I find that they have a negative role.”

Ficqs statements about Hirsi Ali were widely reported in some media. HP/De tijd made a reconstruction and Elsevier and The Post Online published critical contributions.

‘Stupid language’

Really was surprised Ficq not on the interaction between its actions in the program and the responses.

“Usually I’m not fond of the limelight. My father was mayor, had a public life. I thought: what fun, I would like that too. Especially if you are on television, there follows immediately a stream of reactions on social media. Sometimes I get huge afgezeken. That makes me little, but I find it annoying. People can be as many stupid language uitkramen without knowing what they are talking about.”
