Beachvolleybalsters Flier and Van Iersel start world cup with a loss
Beachvolleybalsters Manon Flier and Marleen van Iersel have their first match at the world CHAMPIONSHIPS in Vienna Friday lost.
The seventh placed Canadian players Sarah Pavan and Melissa Humana-Paredes were the Dutch duo in two sets of the boss: 21-13 and 23-21.
Flier and Van Iersel come Saturday, once again in action, against the Chinese pair Yue/Wang.
Flier and Van Iersel placed not directly for the world cup, but were in the second instance, still allowed by a deregistration of the Russian duo Evgenia Ukolova and Anastasia Barsuk.
On the basis of the European ranking went to the world cup ticket to the Flier and Van Iersel.
