Arjen Robben has his last match for Bayern Munich may have already played, but trainer Niko Kovac remains in the end of the season hope to keep them on a comeback of the ever since last year injured attacker.
“I’ve been with Arjen talk. He feels better and is more optimistic to be about his recovery,” said Kovac Monday at his press conference in the run-up to the match against Werder Bremen in the semi-finals of the DFB Pokal.
“I don’t want it nicer to look than it is, but I’m optimistic. I will end up only really happy when he’s on the field.”
The 35-year-old Robben ran at the end of november in the Champions League match against Benfica (5-1 win) a dijbeenblessure and was since then no longer in action. The experienced Groninger was multiple times close to a comeback, but he was just as often a backlash.
After his dijbeenblessure it was a nerve in one hip, which caused problems. When he came in march finally the training resumed, it was after this season, leaving Robben burden of his calf.

Bayern will play another four matches played
Due to his many injuries played Robben this season still only nine league games for Bayern, in which he three times scored. ‘Der Rekordmeister’ plays this season, four matches played, but it is not yet clear whether Robben in one of those games in action.
The 96-fold international departs after this season at Bayern. Robben, who earlier in his career for FC Groningen, PSV, Chelsea and Real Madrid played, after ten years in Munich had enough and decided in december last year, his expiring contract is not going to renew.
Robben will get in any case a final contest with Bayern. The same applies to Franck Ribéry, who after this season also starts at the 28-times champion of Germany.
