Bartender accused of selling alcohol to woman, 20, sentenced

CLEVELAND – A former Cleveland bartender accused of selling alcohol to a 20-year-old woman was seriously injured falling from a balcony on St. Patrick’s Day in 2016 is sentenced to probation and community service.

A judge sentenced the 30-year-old Carisa Buehner on Thursday, after she previously pleaded no contest to a amount of disorderly conduct. Buehner, was initially charged with serving alcohol to a minor user.

Cleveland.com reports court records say Buehner sold three mixed vodka drink Megan Keefe and surveillance video showed her they offer without asking for Keefe’s ID.

Keefe fell about 15 feet (4 meters) of the in the second story balcony of an already closed bar, leaving her permanently disabled.

Buehner’s lawyer says a police officer was outside the control Ids and the accident did not result from Buehner actions.
