The arrest came after a male suspect “barricaded” himself in a Trader Joes, authorities said. Earlier in the afternoon, the suspect “in his late teens,” had been involved in “a family dispute”, in which he shot his grandmother and a woman, authorities said.

After a “pursuit of a suspect wanted in connection with a shooting incident” earlier in the day, the police tweeted that “an officer involved shooting occurred,” and a suspect holed up in the supermarket.

The police said SWAT resources were on the spot and warned the public to avoid the area around the store, located at the intersection of Hyperion avenue and Griffith Park Boulevard in Silver Lake.
