Baltimore County police release footage of the officer shooting

PIKESVILLE, Md. – Baltimore County police have released body camera footage of an officer shooting a man with a knife in his hand.

The department has released two short videos of Friday the shooting on Wednesday. It is the first time that the department has released body camera footage.

The videos show the officers knocking on the door of a Pikesville apartment. Shortly after the images show 48-year-old Bryant Palmer answer the door holding what appears to be a knife, and repeat, “time to die”, as he steps in the direction of the agents. Both officers turn away from Palmer before Officer Inhibitors swivels around and fires a shot in Palmer’s shoulder.

About five seconds elapsed between the knock on the door and the shot fired.

The department does not release the first names of officers in use of force incidents.
