‘Baker Voskamp bake the second year in a row the best oliebol’

Master baker Voskamp from Spijkenisse, may once again have the best oliebollenbakker of the Netherlands. As last year came to his case as the best from the bus in the AD Oliebollentest, writes the newspaper Tuesday.

In this 24th Oliebollentest of the AD was the second place to the Bakery Brokking in IJsselstein. Bakkerij Aad Klootwijk from Capelle aan den IJssel, the netherlands finished in third place.

The panel visited a total of 160 oliebollenbakkers. According to the jury, are at the top the differences are small. But on the bulbs of Voskamp, the panel has almost exclusively laudatory words. “Absolute winner”, “nice and crisp”, “light and airy, well stocked and tasty bite”, according to the panel.

The bakers of Voskamp have hundreds of hours of training. Each year, the properties of the natural products which work different. The flower may just react differently and each harvest apples or raisins is also becoming just a little different.

“It is not only the recipe, everything must be exactly right. I must ensure that my people, under the optimum circumstances can work. The correct equipment must be there. But wants to go well, then you will also need the driver for the lesson to continue. And the lady must be friendly to the customer and understand the business, because otherwise everything will have been for nothing,” says director Cees Weeda.

The family business Voskamp (with seventeen branches and 180 employees) produces to 13,000 pieces per hour. Last year, more than 500,000 over-the-counter.

In 2010 he won Voskamp the price for the first time.
