Celebrity lawyer Michael Avenatti suggested, in a fiery statement to Fox News late Monday evening that the Los Angeles lawyers sued him for allegedly stealing from a former client’s settlement funds-a topic that prompted to hit California prosecutors Avenatti with Federal criminal fraud charges on Monday-have political motives, and “close” to the trump administration.

Stephen G. Larson, a former George W. Bush appointed US District Court judge who founded Larson O’brien LLP and now of Barela, in his civil complaint against Avenatti, told Fox News that he was grateful that the Prosecutor’s office a criminal complaint. Barela’s complaint is currently in negotiations, but will soon be moved to state court, if Avenatti pay the required arbitration fees.

In response to Avenatti, the attacks on his law firm, another partner at Larson O’brien LLP, Steven Bledsoe, said simply: “the forgery of documents and theft of customer funds is a political issue.”
Federal prosecutors in California charged that Barela-called settlement “to pay for $1.6 million in settlement money on January 10, 2018,” but Avenatti gave Barela a “pseudo-agreement” with an incorrect due date of March 10, 2018. According to the prosecutors’ affidavit, Avenatti misappropriated his client’s settlement money, is a violation not only of Federal law but also state ethics requirements, and used it to pay expenses for its coffee business, and other projects.

“Michael, I’m waiting for your call and I know that you are busy,” Barela wrote on Oct. 22. “I’m not sending the updates, so that you will have to dig up the old E-Mails. I know your [sic] under pressure, so let’s discuss what you can or can’t do? … Just so you know, I’m in real financial difficulty, and to try to work to another loan. I’m trying to secure the [settlement] agreement. I need to know that we really have the ability to collect and timing to get the best of you [sic] opinion.”
The E-Mail concluded by asking whether the company had “answered” and “if not, what is our next action.”
Avenatti did not disclose that he had received the transfer in his conversations with Barela, Barela lawyers and a review of the E-Mails between Avenatti and Barela, stretching in the most 2018.
AVENATTI CUTS TIES WITH STORMY DANIELS — OR IT IS THE OTHER WAY?

Call Avenatti tried the attacks on his client as a “disgrace”, false pass, Bledsoe added: “the fake settlement documents, and wherein a client, the money is about as low as a lawyer can get. It seems that is what the Lord has done Avenatti.”
