Australia investigates ‘rumors’ about war crimes military
The inspector-general of the Australian armed forces is investigating “rumors” about possible war crimes by Australian troops in Afghanistan. He asks everyone who is there more about know contact with him.
The call follows on messages from the Australian public service broadcasting in July on the cover of the death of an Afghan boy. Also, there are documents leaked about secret operations by Australian special units.
Australia is an important ally of the United States and has since 2002, the military in Afghanistan. Currently, there are about three hundred Australian troops in that country.
