In a recent Georgia high school graduate, died on Thursday after someone fired a gun in her house to kill her while she was sleeping, officials said.
Jessica Daniels, 18, was shot while in bed at her Atlanta home at around 5:30 p.m., Authorities arrived at the scene to find the woman with a gunshot wound to the chest, and to say that they are the unintended victims of a shooting rampage that took place in the area.

Daniels’ family told investigators that they heard three shots outside their home, WAGA-TV reported. A witness said she heard a “boom, boom, boom, boom,” before going on to investigate the commotion when they “saw the light blinking.”
Jessica Daniels, 18, was killed by a stray bullet while she was asleep at her home in Atlanta, georgia on Thursday, officials said.
The researchers said that there was an exchange of gunfire outside the building between the two shooters, and that’s when three stray bullets entered Daniel’s home, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

“No, We can’t think of any other reason why they have been the subject of or the target,” Atlanta Police Lt. Andrew’s, told the news outlet. She told me that no one else in the house was involved in the shooting.
Daniel’s family said the 18-year-old graduate of South Atlanta High School in May or June, and are planning to study in the course of business. She is said to have had a job interview scheduled for later on Thursday.

“They didn’t make it, due to a stray bullet, the woman’s sister, Donna McClain, told reporters.
Daniel’s grandfather, He is Love, he said, when he heard the gunshots, he ran up the stairs to the first door you see. “That’s when I heard my daughter in the back saying,” Jessica has been shot, and I just lost it.”

“I heard the shots. I think it’s just out of it, then I can hear it in the house. That’s what killed me,” Love told the Journal-Constitution. “It took the life out of me. I would like to get it for me, then for my granddaughter, because it hurts me so bad.”
