Officials said that the “cache” from the “coffins” were found on two of the levels in the Asasif Necropolis, is a burial site in the old city of the West of Thebes. The temple consists of tombs dating from the Middle to the New kingdom and the Late Period (1994-332 (b) (c).

Last year, the egyptian Antiquities Ministry announced the discovery of an ancient necropolis near the Nile Valley town of Minya, south of Cairo. The large cemetery is located to the north of the Tuna al-Gabal area, it is a vast archaeological site, which is on the edge of the western desert. It has several burial shafts, and hosts more than 1,000 images, and a few of the 40 coffins, and other artifacts.
