Comedian Artie Lange sit down with Tom Shillue Show and opens up about his lifelong struggle with addiction. Long tries to explain why so many people still care about him despite the many setbacks in his recovery.
Funnyman Artie Lange provided a heavy reminder of the effects of drug use.
The comedian took to Twitter on Tuesday to share a selfie with collapsed nose with a sombre message describing his long-term use of hard drugs.
“This is it, but I believe her nose had a septum and was not terribly distorted by more than 3 decades of drug abuse,” he wrote in the first christmas day tweet.

Earlier in the month, Long, 51, tested positive for cocaine, while four years conditionally for possession of heroin, but was spared jail time and sentenced to pay the drug court in state Superior Court in Newark, according to NJ.com.

At the time, Long told the court that the drug in his system.
“I don’t want to be arrogant enough to come here after the use of cocaine for two days,” said Long. “It’s in my system and it should not.” Traces of cocaine usually leaves the body within a few hours after using it.
In a series of tweets in the time, Long thanked the judge for her leniency after his appearance, and also explained that he had not used heroin in 41 days.

“The judge and the prosecutor were incredibly merciful,” Long wrote. “I’m not high. So I can see it now clearly. She wants to save my life. 10 days ago, when I left the rehab I had contact with the flame. I used Cocaine…”
He continued, “It must be my system. But a higher power would not let them. [M]E get away. I am a bad addict. I had to see if I could get high. It was terrible. If ur on Suboxen don’t try it. So they are making me apply for a very strict rehab type program, Drug Court…”
A rep for Lange did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.
