Arrested prominent Russian film director under house arrest
A court in Moscow has placed under house arrest imposed on the arrested prominent Russian director Kirill Serebrennikov.
The measure applies until 19 October, reports news agency Tass.
The internationally renowned director, was on Tuesday arrested. Justice accuses him of embezzlement of 68 million rubles (slightly less than a million), which were intended for a theatre project. Serebrennikov would be in september in Stuttgart have a opera directing.
