Arrest made in decades-old, Florida-after the rape, the victim recalls police are on the case

Florida-investigators say DNA helped them to crack a brutal rape 36 years ago and has recently been re-opened after the victim put it there to remind her that her case has still not been resolved.

The Coral Springs police department, said on Friday that the woman was gang-raped in her bed on Aug. 22, 1983, when he woke up in the middle of the night by an armed stranger in her home through a rear door.

“I’ve loved you for months,” he allegedly told the victim when the rape was over. “You’ve got a lot of cool kids and a great husband.” He then put a pillow over her face, and left.

The woman is in touch with investigators in March, the social media accounts to announce that the Coral Springs police had used DNA to arrest a 59-year-old man by the name of Frank Montana, for the 1987 rape, which was perpetrated by a man in a ski mask. Her clothes and other evidence of formal qualifications, which were then evaluated and sent to the Broward County Crime Lab for processing, the use of the DNA technology that did not exist at the time of the rape, police said.

“On the 27th of June, 2019 at the latest, detectives learned that a sample of the victim’s clothing contained the DNA profile relating to Timothy Norris,” a spokesperson from the police force He Reach me.

Detectives believe the 60-year-old Norris’ current residence was in a federal prison in West Virginia, where he served a term of imprisonment for an armed bank robbery.

Norris has previous arrests for armed robbery, aggravated assault, murder of a woman and a child.
