An Arizona medical worker that he sexually assaulted a sedated female patient on a pain treatment center, police said.
Xavier Perez, 38, was on Wednesday arrested after a monthslong investigation into the June 2018 incident at the Integrated Pain Consultants in Scottsdale, FOX10 reported.
A 48-year-old woman told the police she will get back pain treatment and was under sedation when she believed that she was sexually abused by a medical worker in the recovery room. She said that she began to awaken when she realized that “something wasn’t right.”

“They realized that there was something wrong, that they are sexually abused. Of course, if you’re coming out of sedation you are foggy so we tried each other, but they just knew that something wasn’t right,” Scottsdale police officer Kevin told Watts AZFamily.com. “It is about and it is alarming, because it is a position of trust. If you are sedated and coming out of sedation, you’re obviously in a vulnerable place and you trust those who are caring for you.”

The police linked Perez to the crime through DNA evidence, police said. Perez reportedly admitted to the crime and insisted it was a one-off incident, but the authorities said that they fear that there are more victims.
