Arie Boomsma ignores comments social media programs
Arie Boomsma is not worried by the comments on his programs in the internet. “In the first years I read everything that came by. I know that sometimes I really was terrified of criticism and aggression,” says the presenter.
“Though I was also sensitive to the compliments,” says Boomsma (42) in PS het Parool. “Now that is different. By the attention my tv programs attract, I have, by trial and error, learned the praise and the criticism to ignore.”
That has, according to the Kitchen Impossible-presenter also adverse sides. “Really nice compliments touch me anymore.”
“It is no exaggeration to say that I dulled’m touched, or perhaps it is more a protective mechanism. Because if it is negative, it is now really the man played,” explains Boomsma.
The presenter has a group of people gathered around to find out who he listens to. “They say what goes well and what really can be better. They are my compass.”
