Approximately two in five employees work sometimes from home
Approximately two in five workers carry out sometimes work from home. On average they work per week, approximately eight hours at home; a full working day.
20 percent of the Dutch population works in each case a day per week from home. Ten years earlier, worked according to the Social and Cultural Planning office (SCP), 15 percent of workers from home.
The growth is according to the figures of the body due to the number of hours that people need in order to complete their work. One-third of the people who are working from home does that to (over)work.
Also concentration and efficiency are key reasons to work from home; 22 percent say therefore to work from home. The decrease of the travel time and the possibility of caring responsibilities with work to be combined are less important reasons (11 and 8 percent).
The SCP writes Tuesday in reporting that deeltijders notably fewer opportunities to work flexibly than people who work full-time. Men, people over 55 and well-educated workers have the most opportunities to work flexibly.
