Apple’s Music hits, and more than 60 million subscribers, trailing Music

(Reuters) – Apple Inc on Thursday confirmed that the company’s streaming music service with more than 60 million subscribers, trailing competitor, to Spotify Technology SA, a 100 million premium subscribers.

A spokesman for the company confirmed that the figure is that of Eddy Cue, senior vice president of the services provided for the iPhone maker to be listed in the comments here and on the French publication Numerama, in Paris, france. Apple executives have not announced a new phone number since February of 2018, when the company said it had 50 million, and Apple’s Music customers.

The 60 million figure includes the customers of the Apple, which is a free trial version of Apple’s Music.

In April, Spotify has reported a 100-million “premium” subscribers. Spotify’s definition of ” premium subscribers from the free trials of the paid service, as long as the user has entered a form of payment such as a credit card.

When including the listeners to the ad-supported service, Spotify, has 217 million active users. Apple and Spotify have been locked in an antitrust dispute, after the Music has filed a formal complaint with the Eu regulators at the end of March.
